Thy Despair band reveals that even in the darkest nightmare there is still a place for bright spark of hope. Within their songs they bring light through darkness and darkness through light, because only contrast makes you feel the thing you won't feel in twilights.
There are two messages they bring through the whole album. In the darkest times, you should always have a place for hope and strength to struggle in your heart. Another one - when you think that everything around goes so bad that it won't go worse, you are wrong; it always may become even worse, so be strong.
In the beginning Thy Despair band sounded according to canons of gothic doom metal - thick guitar, sad piano or strings melody and slow tempo. With the time it developed to dark metal: guitar became faster and keys parties became more complicated.
Band calls its own style sympho/dark metal, even if it doesn't describe their music completely as there are also big influences of melodic death and black metal.
