" SOUNDTRACK S" is not a simple album, but a 360-degree project of an author / pianist in the conservatory and author as a journalist of numerous publications including the two official Vasco Rossi books . After the great success of "Vasco All Areas" , one of the five best-selling and successful books in Italy, this multi-faceted artist publishes a unique cd + dvd + booklet with 40 sides. The album, written, arranged and produced by himself, has ignited attention of major and foreign labels, a unique and unrepeatable journey, accompanied by a DVD of over 50 minutes of backstage , taken during the recording, work that lasted over 11 months for the realization of the 7 videos that accompany album release , some directed by the same author all between New York and Philadelphia, even in the former "Eastern State Penitentiary" maximum security prison where Al Capone was also imprisoned. Co-produced initially by Vasco Rossi historical producer, Guido Elmi , the album "SOUNDTRACKS" is composed of 11 incredible songs recorded between New York, Los Angeles and Pieve di Cento in Ferrara and boasts a series of musicians chosed by the artist to achieve a perfection and quality of incredible sound: Michael Landau ( turnist guitarist for Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Miles Davis, Bublč, Joe Cocker, Celine Dion), Vinnie Colaiuta (considered the drummer of drummers which boasts in his long career artistic collaborations with Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Sting, Chick Corea, Leonard Cohen etc.), Will Hunt (drummer of Evanescence), Matt Laug (Alice Cooper, also chosen by Vasco Rossi for the concert of the 40 years of career). The author has called together for his record friends and fellow musicians belonging to the "gotha" of Italian rock such as Maurizio Solieri (Vasco), Fabrizio Foschini (Stadium), Luca Martelli (Litfiba), Claudio Golinelli "Gallo" (Vasco ), Ricky Portera (Lucio Dalla), Adriano Molinari (Zucchero), Cicci Bagnoli (Steve Roger's Band), Daniele Tedeschi (Vasco), Davide Vicari (Renato Zero), Sergio Aschieris (Bad Bones) and the voice of the famous Michele Luppi ( Whitesnake ). The entire album was mastered at historical recording Sterling Sound studio in New York by the two sound engineers who have marked the past and present history of world music and winners of numerous Grammy Awards: Ted Jensen and Ryan Smith. Few songs in this album deserves a special mention : " Laagoon "(which in Thai means goodbye) that stands out in particular for the splendid Michael Landau solo with the drummer Vinnie Colaiuta lasting over 3 minutes, written by the author specifically for complete a work for the large international public. |
