The Piano Trio formula in jazz has excellent historical precedents.
Bill Evans with Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian, Oscar Peterson with Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen, Red Garland with
Paul Chambers and Art Taylor, a little all the great pianists like Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau with
incredible double bass rhythm sections and drums are at least once in their career faced in trio, because the union
of the three most rhythmic instruments in absolute with the influence of the great melodicity of the plan create an
inimitable sound!
This new project of one of the most important rhythm section of the moment, the brothers Lo Greco Enzo and
Gianni, with the pianist Antonio Zambrini, takes its cue from the acronym of their three names and becomes Lo
Greco Bros Trio A.G.E.
The songs, all original, are a clear example of contemporary jazz that does not disdain new sounds open as well to
the tradition but even to the most immediate melody and the search for feeling as well as technique. |
