One of the most eclectic musicians ever. His music unfolds a huge range of creativity. He made over three-hundred movie soundtracks and worked with top-notch names: De Sica, Monicelli, Scola, Magni, Risi, Pietrangeli, Vicario, Lattuada, etc.
He also wrote entire musicals for Garinei and Giovannini such as: "Rugantino" (also a Broadway show), "Ciao Rudy" (with Mastroianni), "Aggiungi un posto a tavola" (performed almost all over the world), "Accendiamo la Lampada", "Bravo!", "Vacanze romane". An international hit song was 'Che m'e imparato a ffà', which was originally sung by Sophia Loren. The most evocative and catchy song of Rugantino, 'Roma, nun fa la stupida stasera', became his third worldwide best-seller.
