The End of Comedy è il debutto di Drugdealer, il nuovo progetto del musicista di Los Angeles Michael Collins (ex DMT, Salvia Plath). Musicista eclettico e leader di un gruppo informale di musicisti di Los Angeles che include tra gli altri Ariel Pink e Natalie Mering dei Weyes Blood. The End of Comedy contiene 9 tracce che spaziano dalla ballata sullo stile di Carole King a brani orchestrali che tanto devono a Burth Bacharach, lo psych-folk degli Ultimate Spinach fino al jazz di New York City .
